Job Summary: Keyboardist/Organist

First Community-Antioch Baptist Church (FCABC) located in Lutcher, LA is seeking a (backup) Keyboardist/Organist who shall be responsible for providing musical accompaniment utilizing the keyboard and organ for all designated worship services and other church related programs/engagements under the guidance of the Director of Musicians and Choir Director. 

Work Schedule:

• Regular Sunday services are at 10:15 am and other church services as deemed necessary.   
• Weekly choir practice is typically on Tuesday or Thursday evenings or as designated. 
• Special rehearsals may be required, depending on the preparation required for the event.

Job Responsibilities:

• Will be required to demonstrate proficient musical ability on the keyboard and organ.
• Must maintain punctual attendance and be reliable for all scheduled worship services, rehearsals, and meetings relative to position.
• Listen attentively and execute musical fundamentals while utilizing the keyboard and or organist as requested by the Director of Musicians and Choir Director to achieve the overall vision of the music ministry.
• Assist in the development of the music ministry through education and training.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Authentic and growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
• Agree with the Baptist faith and message.
• At least 5 years of keyboard and/or organ playing experience in a Baptist church.
• Must have a passion for music and sound musical knowledge with emphasis in traditional and contemporary gospel music.
• Attend regular teaching ministries (Bible Study, Discipleship Hour, etc.)
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to read music is preferred.
• Serve as keyboardist/organist for FCABC location only is desired.
